I had a friend in 6th grade, who suffered a sudden, unexpected seizure (we think it was due to DEET exposure but no one is sure), and from that I learned that it is very important to make sure even young children know what a seizure is. Not to scare them, but to help them know how to react. We were at a school event and there were at LEAST a hundred kids around us at the time, but I was the ONLY one who a) knew what it was and b) ran to get the teachers. I had a first aid book when I was little, that taught me the basics about various medical emergencies, and I believe that because I even knew what convulsions were in the first place and the seriousness of it, that's why I was prepared to react. NOT because I was brave or special (I had a nice crying panic attack afterwards and it took a while for the teachers to get me calmed down), but simply from knowing the facts enough to recognize what I was seeing even though it was the first time.
I could definitely see a graphic like this being a good way to illustrate it for young children--they can focus less on the scary nature of a seizure, and more on the characters here, and still get the information.
